“相”学是通过外在表现，认识事物内在本质的一门高级技术方法。我们现代人，认识事物往往停留在事物的外表，如何通过事物的外在表现，而真正地认识事物的内在本质，也就是说看到事物隐藏在外表下的事实真相。
在古代有面相、手相、体相以及现代风水学中阳宅风水、阴宅风水、办公室风水等。这门学问发展到今天在建筑设计学和中医里的“望闻问切”等学问中还保留了些微的东西 。
风水是一门严格的科学技术。风水分为两大派别就是先天风水和后天风水。先天风水应用的是先天八卦技术，后天风水应用的是后天八卦技术。
先天风水需要有能力把后天八卦结构调整成先天八卦结构，让地理场或者住宅、办公室等的场内都和谐生光，这样处在场中的人，就会得到能量的补充，如同充电宝一样，可以快速地充电补充能量，从而达到精力百倍，气力神力都十分饱满的状态。
精神百倍了，自然运程也就会改变了。一命二运三风水，才会通过风水的调整而彻底改变命运。
“一阴一阳谓之道”。从事先天风水技术的人员必须有调动天地能量的本领，古代称之为阴阳先生。
后天八卦形成的地理场中，有四个吉方和四个凶方，趋吉避凶就是最好的解决方法。但是如果有办法把四凶方也变成吉利的，岂不更好，这就是先天风水术和后天风水术的不同。
